What I Offer
One to one coaching
The executive coaching I offer is completely bespoke for each individual.
We agree the client’s goals and the number of one to one sessions required.
The goals might be business goals, personal development goals, or both. The business benefits of achieving the goals need to be clear.
I can then tailor support for the client in achieving his/her goals.
- During the coaching sessions, some clients find it useful to increase their self awareness and personal insight through the use of different psychometric tools and/or 360 degree feedback.
- Some want the opportunity to think through particular business issues and find benefit in the challenge and support of a coaching dialogue.
- Other clients want to use the time and space to reflect - about themselves, or maybe about their vision and strategy for the business.
- Maybe certain business relationships are getting in the way of optimal business performance. There are techniques for the client to explore these and find more productive ways of working.
Typically, as a result of each session, the client will decide to take certain actions and will want to review progress and outcomes at the next session.
At relevant points and at the end of the agreed number of sessions, we review the overall goals which the client set and how successful the coaching has been in improving the business’ results.
The longer they are in hot water, the stronger they get.”

Executive team development
Great teams are so rare that they create competitive edge.
A great team delivers more than the sum of the contributions from its individual members. It takes dedication from the whole team and a team development ethos to achieve this, but the rewards can be outstanding.
Unfortunately, some ‘teams’ actually deliver less than the sum of the individual parts, because of confusion, overlap or conflict.
I support the leader of the team in maximising business performance. My approach to executive team development is to design bespoke programmes in partnership with its leader.
Elements of such programmes may include:
- Diagnosis – strengths, issues, challenges
- Bringing clarity to the shared purpose of the team
- Clarification of business goals and individual responsibilities
- Team profiling
- Exploration of the individual and shared values of the group
- Relationship development and communication
- Conflict resolution
I work with other experienced associates who can bring specific relevant expertise to the situation.

Mentoring
Clients can benefit from mentoring for a range of reasons relevant to their particular circumstances.
Senior leadership roles can feel very isolated, even lonely and there can be great benefits in having someone you can trust, who is on your side, to discuss sensitive or difficult business issues.
Having held a number of senior leadership positions myself, I can relate to such issues and offer guidance and support from my own experience.
Mentoring can also play a key role in supporting clients with career management and with their own leadership development.
Some female clients also like to have a female mentor who has achieved a senior business leadership role.
Mentoring might take place through one off or occasional sessions – or may develop into a one to one coaching relationship, in which case the structure described in that section will apply.
